November 2021A Truth Itself radio broadcast on August 20 reported that 29 schools in Tennessee will be teaching Bible history classes this school year. The courses, available to grades 6 through 12, pass constitutional muster and use no tax dollars.

The National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools, founded in 1993, is a leading proponent of the move and offers a widely-used curriculum for public school use. The curriculum has been approved in 3,500 high schools in 41 states, and more than 650,000 students have completed courses.

The council lists endorsements by the Southern Baptist Convention, Eagle Forum, Family Research Council, Dr. Alveda King, and WallBuilders’ David Barton.
